FourClubs United is the culmination of the efforts by the area’s four largest local
youth football clubs who, having provided football for 6 to 17 year olds for a considerable
period of time, came together in late 2007 to plug a hole in relation to people whose
opportunities to enjoy football have historically been limited, namely those with
either physical, learning and/or behavioural disabilities - now embraced by the Football
Association under the collective term ‘Inclusive Football’.
Key personnel - from Headley Youth, Liphook United, Liss Athletic, Wey Valley and
Petersfield Town have joined forces to ensure that this important new facet of local
football prospers and develops like any other part of the football community.
Training/Coaching Sessions -The training sessions are every 6.30 to 7.30 each Monday
night during school term times. Session are free to participants and the venue/locations
are ;
> Winter Months (GMT) at Mill Chase Leisure Centre ATP
> Summer Months (BST) at Mill Chase Recreational Ground
Matches & Tournaments - we have already taken part in a number of tournaments and
had a match or two. Details are in the Events section of this web site
New Youth Players - aged between 7 and 17 are welcome at any time. We would recommend
you contact us first so we can identify any special requirements. Please feel free
to get in touch to discuss your requirements (click here for our contact details).
New Adult Players - we are just beginning to explore what we might be able to offer
adults and are working with EHDC to provide football as part of their new program
of ‘Disability Multi-Sports club’ due to start at Treloars School on May 21st, which
in turn, may regular coaching sessions and matchplay at some future point.
Who We Work With - Outside of the usual circle of football contacts we are working
with The FA, Hampshire FA, East Hants District Council and Hampshire County Council
- so if we cannot accommodate a particular disability we should be able to put you
in touch with someone who can help.
Funding & Sponsors - We are already heavily indebted to PDM Neptec for their wonderful
support to date and we look forward to working with them in the future. As with
so many things in life today you can never have enough support, so we are also in
the process of applying for grants from EHDC and one or two other funding bodies.
If you have any ideas or suggestions for funding, please let our Treasurer know
